Lovely Guests from Niraj International School

This week turned out to be a very exciting week for Niraj Kindergarten, as the Niraj International School Kindergarten section visited our school on Tuesday, 21st October 2014. Beyond the classrooms and far from the books all the kids looked enthusiastic and joyful. The children were given circle time to introduce themselves and make friends, afterwords the Theme Time, Rhymes and Storytelling Sessions followed during which the children not only learnt new things but also developed their communicative skills. The story conducted by our teachers Ms. Ayesha and Ms. Arjyama focused on different colors of the rainbow and was concluded with a sweet message that although all of us are unique, we can all learn a lot from one another and achieve more together. The Senior KG children enjoyed a different story with a strong moral taken up by our teachers Ms. Atiya and Ms. Aditi. The day was fun and interesting, informative and enjoyable, full of smiles and presents and many more! We learnt who a 'guest' is, how we should treat our guests, how to be polite and friendly to people we meet for the first time...

As the day was coming to an end, we had to bid goodbye to the International School children... We are very thankful to NIS for their visit, and we look forward for such visits in the future which as they help our children in many ways.

Diwali

Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights, is definitely one of the most beautiful festivals of India. It celebrates the victory of good over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance. Of course, because of all the beautiful colors, lights, fireworks and sweets involved, Diwali is a great favorite with children...

At Niraj Kindergarten and Primary School we celebrated Diwali on the 22nd of October. We enjoyed the day of learning about the importance of Diwali and about different ways of celebrating it!
